NARDIL ALCOHOL - THE PRO SOCIAL/DIS-INHIBITION MIX

Posted by Lebrada on September 27, 2007, at 9:38:02

(Anyone experience similar)?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has experienced the pro social/dis-inhibition when (Yes) taking Nardil (Taken for Generalised Social Phobia) with Alcohol?

I take 90mg Nardil/day and haven't experienced any side-effects re food interactions in 2 yrs)?

Typically I'm very reserved (when I dare to go out with the limited friends that I have too -nightclubs/social events for instance)

'BUT' interestingly...

Nardil plus Alcohol usually results in me reaching a very sociable and dis-inhibited state where I do things or act in ways that I 'literally' could only ever dream or hope of - as someone with generalized SAD.

I've met many beautiful women in this state - with great outcomes - outcomes expected but never realized when I would typically be pumping with frightful adrenalin - the difference in state is like night and day...and I do like it!
(Don't think I would reach/achieve that through CBT)

As for the difficulty to reach climax while on Nardil - well throwing a Viagra into the mix - makes for hours of fun (fun without Nardil - is more the ever-elusive)

I'm definitely not impulsive, typically - although this changes with the above mix - probably better described as 'very pro-social' state - that state that as a social phobic I see others experience - but always from afar.

The alcohol isn't much of a problem for me - I rarely drink - and never to excess but thankfully stumbled upon this, for me, positive outcome.

Mind you I have passed out previously with only two drinks ... and 0.5mg Klonopin; that did it for me, NO more Benzos for me thanks!

As for the Nardil....
