I think that I was only ever barely on the spectrum of bipolar II, and that the mood stabilizers I was on only ever blunted the effects of PTSD (which is also "mild"). It wasn't until a new pdoc asked me to keep a daily mood chart that we saw, on paper, that my moods aren't really prone to major swings; and that the irritability and agitation I suffer from are most likely due to the effects of PTSD.
