SJW + SAM E + ADRAFINIL + DEPRENYL ... TOO MUCH?

Posted by Larc on August 17, 2007, at 0:39:02

I've been severely depressed for 3 months ... refused to be put on meds, but instead spent $2000 on therapies ... nothing's working. AHHHHHHH so I'm planning to do the following:

1. SJW (AMORYN):2 pills morning & evening, each containing
18mg Hyperforin (=36mg total)
25mg 5 HTP (=50mg total)
90mg Rhodioia Rosea Extract (= 180mg total)

2. SAM E: 400 mg morning & 400 mg evening

3. ADRAFINIL: 300 mg morning & 300 mg evening

4. DEPRENYL: 1mg morning

PLUS Multi B-vitamins in the morning ...

Suppose for the morning pills, I take them w/o breakfast (at least for the sake of better SAM E absorption). Here are my concerns:

1. Danger of digestive/liver function failure?
(Adarafinil is known to cause liver stress during long-term use, but I was hoping that SamE may correct that problem)

2. Danger of serotonin syndrome?

3. Danger of Hypertensive problem?
(Deprenyl can act like MAO ... and Adarafinil ... I don't know. Although it's been said that Adarafinil doesn't act the same way as amphetamin, I'm just a little worried)

I know I'm supposed to ask a proper psychiatrist about this, but I'm now really broke and don't know what I'm supposed to do. Thank you!
