Endo doesn't know his meds

Posted by Phillipa on June 29, 2007, at 22:37:46

Was in the ER most of the day as TSH spiked up again to a high range in a few weeks. The endo said to take the synthroid at night with valium. The pharmacist said no they bind. And then the endo proscribed cytomel and said I could take it with food. The pharmacist said no just called them and checked also at the ER pharmacy. So if empty stomach required for each med and an hour apart and then calcium pills. How does one accomplish this just skip meals? I'm so confused and dont have a clue how to accomplish this. Shouldn't an endo be educated in giving meds? Love Phillipa
