Questions to ask when interviewing new PDOC

Posted by jitterbug on June 4, 2007, at 18:28:23

In the future I may be relocating to Canada. I always HATE the process of finding a new pdoc. You never know if you're going to get a benzophobe, or someone who wants to rattle things up just to put their own fingerprint on your treatment.

I have Panic Disorder, OCD, and night terrors.
I take 15 MG of Valium daily (5 1/2 in the AM and 5 1/2 in the PM) along with my antidepressant. I'm stable, feel good, and no longer have night terrors (which were AWFUL I might add.)

What kind of questions should I ask when trying to establish a relationship with a new pdoc? The last thing I need is to be de-stabalized when I move to a new country (completely different environment, stress etc.) This combo WORKS for me. Anyone who has been through this please post your suggestions. Thanks.
