Well, it's now been 8 weeks on Emsam for GAD/Panic and I still have noted no benefits at all. I've decided to cut my losses (I still have around 15 of the 9mg patches and my co-pay was $40) and give up on the stuff. As I mentioned, I've been on .5 mg of Klonopin for several years. I take it before bed to sleep off the peak drowsy period and get the leveling effects the next day. Plus I take a .5 Xanax as needed during the day; usually the need arises once or twice a week. Nothing near addiction-danger levels.
That's that. I promised to report my outcome with Emsam and, unfortunately, it's not as hoped for.
Someone -- I think it was Michael, aka UGottaHaveHope -- said he knows one of the developers of Emsam, and that there's talk of making other AD's available transdermally. I look forward to that, as I've heard that Lexapro and Zoloft are good for GAD/Panic. In fact, I tried both but my stomach wouldn't tolerate either pill; that's why the MAOI patch seemed worth a try.
Has anyone heard any news on SSRI patches now in development/clinical trials?
