Why are you on a dirty brain burning novel like Seroquel at six weeks?
That's a big dose of trancyl*** and you should be out having a powerwalk every day, not needing a nap. I know about the sleep problems, and I know about the AP to keep you sort of sane through the switch, but at six weeks you should be coming off of it. One of the great beauties of the MAOI is that in psychotic depression, the psychosis goes away when the depression goes away. And the depression goes away. But you won't know it, dear, if you're that drugged up.
These drugs always work, unless the doctor can mess them up to keep his billable hours up and the drug reps happy. You need to talk to an advocate if you get ignored.
If you need a nap you're overmedicated as H. Just the benedryl hangover will keep you in la la land. You need to talk to your doc.
I've used these drugs for years, and the biggest problems with them are manufacturers who want to get rid of them and doctors with no proper training in how to use them. They're a rough ride on but at six weeks...
I do not like to comment other peoples doctors judgement, but you need to go ask questions. Trancylpro** will cause remission, it's the only drug that can, but with grotty novel APs in there it may not have a chance.
Besides- Parnate is dopaminergic. Bad mix with an AP if you actually want to feel good. If you need something- everybody else takes mood stabilizers. I like Trileptal, personally.
Go read Ken Gillman on MAOIs at <www.psychotropical.com> Amazingly good doctor. Actually knows what he's talking about.
