I sure wish my MD would have tried Provigil with my Nardil. It seems like a natural fit to help control the weight gain and daytime somnolence. But, he just was not comfortable doing it. I want to keep the guy because he will usually go along with my suggestions for augmentation, etc. I just provide him with a bunch of studies so he can cover his a**. Nardil is the only med that has ever worked for my treatment resistant atypical depression. I'm hoping, since this time, I did a fairly fast withdrawal and washout before starting on Parnate; that I can get my MAO inhibition back up before the major depression returns. I just have to get a handle on this weight thing before it really starts affecting my health. I went from 205 to 310 from a combination of atypical depression and Nardil. I'm down to 280, but I really need to take off 50 pounds to get a start towards being healthy again and avoid the long term cosequences of obesity.
