>>>>>I noticed that my salad dressings at home have soybean oil in them. Is that allowed?<<<<
No problem. Just keep your dressings in the
refrigerator.>>>>How about vodka? Are a couple drinks okay at dinner?<<<<
No problem. Just don't overdo it.
>>>>Canned tuna and chicken salad?<<<<If it's in a CAN, no problem as long as it
doesn't contain other ingredients that might
be on the no-no list. I'd be cautious about
tuna and chicken salad sold in deli departments
of supermarkets.>>>>Noticed that some prepared food list soy protein powder as one of the ingrediants. Sounds like this should be avoided?<<<<<
Soy protein comes in many different forms as
used in foods. Other than the fermented ones
like soy sauce, miso, tempeh, etc., soy protein
should be ok as an ingredient in prepared foods.
But to be cautious, you should go easy on any
food containing soy protein and check your
blood pressure to see if any pressor effects
appear. If they do, then it's best to avoid
that particular item with the soy protein.>>>>Steak sandwiches at a local resturant. Sould I have to worry about the meat not being super fresh?<<<<
If you have any doubts, best to pass. If it's a
place where steak sandwiches are one of the main items that sell a lot[like some fast food chains],
the meat 'moves' pretty quick so less worry.
You can always ask....if you explain the reason for your question[the MAOI drug you're taking],
there shouldn't be any problem. If they won't
answer to your satisfaction, walk out.
