I go to sports bars and places like Ruby Tuesdays's and Friday's. Would I be safe ordering a hamburger without cheese? I don't know wether they use soy sauce in their mix. How about a steak. Almost all foods have some sauce or whatever on top. What about salad drssing? Any safe ones? How do any of you on an maoi deal with eating out?

American cheese on your Hamburger is fine. Just remember pretty much nothing aged. Most sauces that are made fresh are fine. Be frank with the waitress...no cheddar/aged cheeses, no soy sauce, the risks are really not as bad as once believed. Study the MAOI (updated diet list) and use good common sense..you'll be fine.
