I have borderline personality disorder and numerous meds have caused irritabity (most notably, tricyclic antidepressants) but have not had that problem on my most recent combo: Parnate + Seroquel + Ambien. It started when the anxiety started, for which I was quickly put on Xanax, so it is difficult to know which is causing it.

It is possible that it is the result of the Xanax wearing off, as I only notice it later in the day, several hours after having taking it. Have been considering longer-acting benzos like Klonopin but have heard that one can worsen depression. Sometimes it seems like you just cannot win with these meds. :(
