I think it is interesting that the disease is often defined by the actions of the treatment. With the approval of duloxetine, all of a sudden there is a huge focus on how painful symptoms are plaguing patients, and how dual acting agents can help.
Watching these things always gives me some hope. It kindof makes it feel like the wheels are in motion. Although it doesn't take long for me to go back to having no faith in the treatments.
Treatment in the 21st century seems remarkably like treatment in the 20th century though!
