I added 50mg amisulpride to ongoing 20mg prozac many years ago. It definitely improved mood and motivation and social comfort. Side effects were insomnia and sexual. The sexual dysfunction was bad enough that I quit it after a few months, so I don't know about longterm.
I tried it again in 2005 at 25mg added to 20mg prozac and 5mg zyprexa. I only took it for a week because the sexual dysfunction was already evident. During that week I did not experience much mood boost, but I did experience a boost of motivation and the ability to zero in on whatever I was doing. I'm sure 25mg was not enough, and mixed with the other meds it was kind of in the background.
Anyway, it worked good for me. Insomnia and sexual dysfunction were my side effects.
