Trish,

My bipolar is depression dominated. The best AD hands down for me has been effexor. Past AD's I trialed have been imipramine, prozac, paxil, desipramine, wellbutrin, parnate, remeron. Lithium as a mood stabilizer made me too flat. The best relief I got was combining and ssri with a tca along with a mood stabilizer, then effexor came out which targets seretonin and norepinephrine. Monotherapy with an ssri or a tca made me cycle too much. Effexor works great for me.

Polarbear
Effexor 300 mg.
Lamictal 200mg.
