My advice is to talk to your own doctor, tell him that you've lost the benefit you first had, and ask him to raise the dose to 20mg to see if you get it back. If you approach it from the standpoint of "Hey, you know, it seemed to work, but then it stopped -- let's try raising the dose, because I'm a bit afraid of trying something else unless I'm sure this isn't going to work."

I'd also check rxlist.com or medlineplus.com and see what they say the maximum dosage is. Then, print it out and take it along to show him you're not maxed out on it. Rxlist does say that 10mg is the recommended dose, medlineplus shows 10mg or 20mg, with 20mg being the maximum recommended.
