Nardil and Marplan are both hydrazine derivatives, and it has been known for close to 100 years that hydrazine derivatives can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). One of the major symptoms is hunger. They can also interfere with glycogen metabolism, which can make it harder for the body to utilize energy.
