Thanks Jerry. I will make it clear to them that I am on that med. Because the way it will work is I will see the ortho and then he will decide that I am ready for surgery and I will have it that afternoon. God, I am so not looking forward to this.

> You should be fine conintuing on Parnate through your surgery as long as you discuss it with all of your doctors including the surgeon and anesthesiologist. Demerol mixed with MAOIs can be fatal - but other opiates are ok. I had surgery while on Nardil and everything went fine. I was even put on strong pain meds afterwards and had no complications - however, discuss this with your doctors.
