Hi: I'm a 41 yo male who's had a lifelong problem with social anxiety disorder. I had posted a series of messages about my experience with Nardil a few months ago. Initially, the Nardil worked great; it was, by far, the only effective med that I've ever tried that so completely wiped away the social anxiety. But as I later learned, this state of "euphoria" was only temporary and if it had continued indefinitely, I would be in a perpetual state of hypomania (it was a bit like having several cocktails all in a row).
So slowly the Nardil (I've been on it for about 2-3 months now) euphoria greatly diminished and the anxiety is slowly returning.
I have several questions, particularly for the men out there:
1) Does Nardil cause impotence? B/C I can't get a complete erection (even after using Cialis). And as I said, I'm only 41 and that's way too young to be having problems with impotence.
2) Does EMSAM cause the same sexual dysfunction as the Nardil?
3) Will I experience the same initial euphoria that came with the Nardil? Or was that a one-time thing.
I've been reading Robert's posts with great interest. I plan on beginning with the EMSAM sometime next week.
