I have to agree with you mary, my psychiatrist was a pompous a@%. So I decided to switch to a PA and she actually listens to me and seems to have more knowledge. Plus it's cheaper. I think that it is tough to find a quality psychiatrist or any other doctor for that matter.

He knows his meds, he listens to me and spends as much time as I need, he includes my ideas/thoughts in his decisions. Guess I am REALLY blessed. Maybe consider a knowledgable PA? I see it as sort of the same difference between an OB Dr. and midwife,
