Are you on anything else? Lamictal might be increasing the strength of whatever you are on.
I am on week 3 at 50mg, and I haven't noticed the Lamictal doing anything of the sort. Actually, it seems like it's quite activating. It's not like Trileptal at all which causes dizziness and drowsiness in the beginning; makes you feel drunk.
My antipsychotic is what makes me drowsy and feel drugged.
