I imagine this is different for every individual, and even different for one certain individual, and it certainly can be different for you each time.

I recall having nausea like symptoms until I reached 150 mg for a few days. It continued to cause an uncomfortable intestinal or stomach feeling for some time, even when my dose was increased. If I recall correctly, effexor lost its stimulant quality for a while until I was on a higher dose (225mg?), and yet still higher (300 mg?), it got demotivating again.

I found that if I took it in the morning, even with food, I had abdominal discomfort all day. I started taking it at night and it helped a lot.
