Sorry if this is a double post but I'm not sure the first one went through.....
My girlfriend's sister is taking classes to become a psychiatrist and she was told in one of her classes that drinking alcohol while on Paxil is dangerous to the liver. My pharmacist said that I should be careful when it comes to drinking while on any SSRI. A glass of wine or a beer is fine but I should use good judgement.
I've been on Paxil for 9 years now and never heard anything about this. I have gone out most weekends and had 3 or 4 beers and on a few occasions more. It would have been nice for my doctor to have told me this.
Anyone else here know more about this? Do I have to worry every time I have a beer?
