Its like a mild and pleasant psychostimulant to me. I get worse (depression) on piracetam, aniracetam, Ritalin and adrafinil....
Brand Name "Ergotop", where I am. I take 30mg.
And overall improves my response to ADs.
My doc (A neurologist which is also a psychotherapist btw) frequently uses Nicergoline as adjunct for age related depression.You probably know its a scavanger of free radicals, increases dopamine synthesis and so on ...... its also an ergot alkaloid like some dopamine agonists.
