I believe ssri's can cause memory problems because it has happened to me. Actually it was only lexapro that did it. The others were ok.

But if someone is taking a benzo along with an ssri, I would be much more inclined to point the finger at the benzo. I remember (now that I'm off lexapro :-)) that on just 1mg/day of xanax I would prepay for gasoline and then drive off forgetting to pump the gas!
