Hey .. tks for quick response!
My power has been out, but my new P actually called my cell (He, himself, not someone at the front desk!) and left a message (Couldn't p/u in time.) acknowledging 'what was probably more than just bad side effects' to Abilify.
This will be the 3rd or 4th anti-psychotic I've not tolerated. (I am not psychotic .. well, big psychotic, if you know what I mean.)
I wanted to get online quickly, before power goes out again, and am so glad you are back and responded.
When P calls back (I pray.), I may discuss w/ him amitriptyline or Elavil, right? I guess of the tricyclics, Elavil and Pamelor, have the lesser side effects. What about desipramine/Norpramin???
I'm just awfully sad and hopeless as of late.
Seems Effexor-XR totalled me out re: ADs, at least when it comes to that class. No more of that ever; I never improved; only masked symptoms. The class w/ Prozac, Celexa, Zoloft, also proves ineffective.
Only on trazodone for sleep and valium for nerves.
(I do recall a trial on Elavil a long time ago that didn't stick. But, at that time I had not yet had a hysterectomy and had a totally different lifestyle. I've had same drug work quite differently, at different 'times' in my life. Do you have any thoughts re: Pamelor or Norpramin instead? Or just any thoughts re: this old class? If not, that's fine. Maybe this P will. I'm glad to have something to suggest tho'. I feel you guys have helped me so very much.)
I'll check back online in an hour. Don't want to miss an 'actual P call'!
