Soma, Carisoprodol, is a muscle relaxant that in the body metabolizes to meprobamate, Miltown, an old line anxiety agent. Miltown is distantly structurally or related to barbiturates although it is not one directly.

Its the only agent that ever corrected some of my really tough muscle tension but I can't use it because of my benzodiazepine load. So I use Robaxin, which happens to be a somewhat newer distant cousin of Soma.
