I'm not sure there is an answer to your question. People do well on Nardil, people do well on Parnate. I have personally been on Nardil and only experienced a partial response. I do not have social anxiety however, just TRD, dysthymia, anhedonia, cognitive trouble. It might be true that Nardil has more side effects. i experienced insominia and horrible anorgasma. I don't think anorgasma is as common with Parnate. It's been said Nardil is good for anxiety and parnate is good for restoring energy, take from that what you will. I have been in your position before..."what drug shall I take?" Even my doctor asked me whether I wanted parnate or nardil. Doctors only use their gut and intuition unfortunately. Maybe I chose wrong in choosing Nardil. whatever. You don't know until you try. It just shows how little we know about this damn disease. Maybe from what I have said and info you've gathered you can make a decision, and that will be the best decision you can make. Good luck.
