I took Nuerontin for 1 year before switching to Clonazapam. Nuerontin made me tired and a bit slow however kept my mood very stable (waht was left of it). I have not needed to up my dosage of K over the 2 MG. Lyrica is the Nuerontins replacement. It is more than a patent attempt (nuerontin expired). Lyrica is much stronger and much more effevtive. I could not handle the strength of 150mg. Switched back to K. If I ever taper off K I will augment it with Lyrica. Might give it a try. It works very well for some. There are threads on this board that tell of its challenges. My Doc is having good luck with it. For me Klonopin works the best. No anxiety and I can barely tell I am on it.
