Well id be curious to see where your doc wants to start you,he might wanna start at 20,morninf afternoon.I just remember previous to parnate i had a draw full of ssris,so they are SOOO DIFFERENT that when i took the 10 mg,i had exper a different feel than any ssri,and it was incredable,my eyes light,i felt a jolt in my back,and i was motivated.
Unfortunatly no this particular feeling i think is just the maoi starting to work,it quickly within a week takes on a different feel,not to say a bad one of course.
However STill i dident have poop out problems until i was into my first year,so you should hopefully get a lot of free anti depressant time from it if it works,my advice,if u feel it work,leave it alone,dont augment it,dont say more is better,just enjoy it,youll have time later on cause unfortunatly parnate loves to poop out.
Your second question yess im on it still,5 years or so counting,chances are im either addicted,or i need it ,cant say cause i obviously seeked pills in the first place cause i dident feel ok.Nevertheless i feel my body having built a blockade to this drug,so for myself i have to struggle to make this drug work,to the extent i doubt you will,or at least u should not have too.
Currently im working on a combination that seems to be doing a lot of good,but im taking it slow,and careful.
Yess i have extreme social anxiety,i think most do,it seems like a hybrid cycle,depression feeds to anxiety,and then obsessive thoughts,mind racing and whatever else have you,they all work togther in a nice demonized circle to keep u in a rut.
But when parnate is at its absolute bet,you might be a little jittery but it prob will help with your social problems a bit.
Later on down the line youll prob look into adding a gaba med as youll notice parnate doesent help enough with social issues.
The one thing,and i said this earlier about parnate,even if it works half a- ,its the only med i know that if one is in a bed ridden,i wanna hurt myself,DANGEROUS gut wrenching depression,parnate seems to be a drug to at least drop u a rope when ur 20 feet down in that hole,5 years later its not pulling me up alone,but it still drops that rope when i feel that gut sickening depression,and has kept me home and not in a er room.But for me its time to move on,but failing terrably on all ssris,i mean faliling is being putting it lightly,well i dont have many options,but i am waiting for deprenyl the newest maoi to come out,im just glad as least parnate is there for now to keep me grounded.
Last i read either you or the other poster mentioned ur scared and this is ur last option,please dont be,get urself whatever to handle blood pressure control,and chances are you wont have any problems with this drug,its something to look forward too,not fear,your about to finaly have some dopamine back dont be frightened cause chances are you will feel better,minimal diet problems aside,this drug is FAR from a last resort,its a very effective medication.
Now if u know u are the one to come home at ngiht and drink a few beers every night then you know why ur worrying and thats something no one can help with,and no u shouldent go on a maoi.But if ur health is good to fair,youll prob have very very very little problems with this drug at all.
Side effects are Insomnia----STRONG
Heightened libido------Strong
Delayed orgasm-------Strong
Sign of life comming back into u,---hopefully strong
