While my GP has been great about trying out a number of meds, including MAOIs, when by choice I didn't want to be on lithium, he would prefer that lithium or lamictal treatment be managed by a psychiatrist.

I have no problem with that, but it takes forever to get in to see a new pdoc around here. Fortunately, I'm nowhere near the point of going to a hospital, but that leaves me just hanging on for the next couple months. Which sucks because I went back for more aggressive tx of the BP because I had gotten to the point where I felt I had done as much as I could to control it, without success.

That's why I was inquiring as to whether anyone was aware of non-lithium, non-lamictal type meds that have some impact on BP and which my GP might be comfortable prescribing while I wait for a pdoc.

Thanks.
