Provigil

Posted by mike99 on February 2, 2006, at 19:42:46

Does Provigil have less or more cardiovascular activation than caffeine?

I found an article with the following quote "...Dr. Dale Edgar, feels that Provigil would have less impact on the cardiovascular system than caffeine".

Obviously there's not a direct mg-per-mg correlation, but I'm skeptical that provigil would be less activating than caffeine.

Another article I read said that patients had an average increase in heart rate of 6 beats per minute after a 100 or 200 mg dose (can't remember which). That actually seems like a lot--360 additional beats per hour!

Can anyone provide some feedback on this?
