Over here in NZ it was said on the news that a 2 year old girl,who was supposed to have recieved a bottle of cold medicine,was accidentilly given liquid risperidone,by a TIRED pharmacist.When home she was given 5 mls of the medicine,(whats the normal adult dose?)she became sleepy.Moments later she went limp and floppy,her eyes rolled back into head.Her heart was beating at 200bpm,she nearly died.She has been in a deep sleep in hospital last few days but seems OK now. WHAT DO YOU THINK? 2 years old,given 5 mls of liquid risperidone,will she be OK?It has me worried for her.
