It can bring on hypomania for some reason in bp II patients, of which I am one. Can't say I had any hypomania. Titrated to 125mg, and then back down to 100mg because I had dyskinesia. Might titrate up again in a few weeks.

I'm rapid cycle bpII...unmedicated I usually get hypomanic episodes in the morning and day then depression in the evenings but the addition of lamictal seems to increase anxiety alot in the evenings (can feel it in my chest and legs as well as concentration issues and racing thoughts). Wondering if this med is the right choice and if anyone noticing similar problems have found other mood stabilizers or ap's that have worked well (preferably with no weight gain or other serious side effects) without this issue.
