I have had the same problem. Strattera works for the ADD (even with just 40 mg) but it makes me so tired. Can't take a higher dose because I'm petite. So taking the Lexapro to combat the fatigue. Sleeping pills are fine, but way harder to get off of them. Besides if you have kids it's not a good idea to take sleep aids in case something happens in the middle of the night. Yes Strattera does cause depression, I frequently would have crying fits and felt down. MY ADD coach said on the Connors test scored better than those without ADD. Personally the best luck to helping anyone with ADD is this;

Have patience. Combine medicine, relaxation techniques,exercise,proper nutrition, support from a close friend, fresh air, and a computer game to tinker with when frustrated. Better to play a game when nervous then dive into another bowl of junk food.
