..and since it is like cymbalta with the sedating side effects i most defentatly will not be taking it,,, i could not moce on that drug....so i would rather cry all day, be pbesseive and starve myself all day then take something that might put on weight...thanks...
The weight gain for most people with SSRIs is really minimal compared to the help they can provide, especially for OCD. Starvation is not necessary. A walk a day would probably suffice the weight gain that most people would experience.
In fact Luvox was used in a double-blind trial of people with binge-eating disorder (Am J Psychiatry 155:1756-1762, December 1998).Crying is a natural way of relieving anxiety, there is no shame in it, but it pains me to think one would want to be stuck in an obsessive cycle 16 hours a day. Now I don't know your diagnosis so of course the choice is up to you. You can also do CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) if you have OCD and don't want to take medication.
Tidings and best wishes
