In reply to DOES EFFEXOR CAUSE IMPOTENCE --LINKAGE, posted by lakesguy78 on December 8, 2005, at 20:30:51

Effexor can cause impotence, most SSRI's and SNRI's do. The impotence goes away with time - at least in some cases. If you are having problems without it, it may be safe to assume your problems (impotence) will probably get worse with it.

It depends how old you are - people like me (in my early 50's) tend to get erection problmes from age (I'm not sure if I'm lucky or not as I don't have those problems). Also it depends what other drugs you are taking. Certain drugs like statins (cholesterol) drugs tend to reduce libido, etc.
