bipolar with success on aDD meds?

Posted by Ronnie43 on December 5, 2005, at 20:26:31

I have had great success with adderall and concerta in treating my mental illnesses, the problem is that in the past when I have used stimulants, it was assumed that I had no bi-polar disorder but now that the doctors know that everytime they prescribe me stimulants I have a manic attack, they know that I have bi plar disorder. So now I am being treated for the bi polar but straterra for ADD isn't working(it makes me very nauseas). HELP!@! Please I don't think any of these psychiatrists know what they are doing and runs much deeper then this....wish i had the space or typing power to write it all. But basically they are treating me with lamictal and straterra but the straterra does not work and I am still having to take librium/klonopin in large doses above all this. When I took the concerta I was able to take no librium/klonopin which I have been stuck on for over 10 years. But now I am back to base one because I am on lamictal and all they will prescribe is straterra.......

thanks
Ron
