Hello,
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced any relationship between their period and bipolar swings. For the past 4 years of my life (since I was 24), I have only gotten a period when I am either manic or hypomanic. This is despite being on the pill during some of this time. (ie. I can be on the pill and not get a period). Also, the psych. meds I've been on for the past 2.5 years haven't changed this trend either. I have always had an irregular period, but this is a clear and fairly striking trend. I would really like to have a regular period, since I hope to have children some day. Neither gynecologists nor psychiatrists seem to be able to help with this one.
Does any one have any ideas or have experienced something like this?
