Hi Philipa, sadly us in the UK can't really get prescribed MAOIs - and did I wish we could!

We first go to see our GP and they can only prescribe SSRIs and the odd TCA -- if you want anything stronger you have to get referred to a psychdoc, and that very very rarely happens (from what i undstand) and even they are very reluctant to prescribe MAOIs. Some of us UK pbabblers have had sucess getting MAOIs going privately.

Its unbelieveable, isn't it.
