1. Risperdal 2. EEG as diagnostic tool?

Posted by 4wd on October 25, 2005, at 21:03:55

It seems like nobody is taking Risperdal anymore. I don't see posts about it. Seroquel didn't help, Geodon didn't help. Zyprexa helped but because of my bulimia I couldn't take it.

I have severe depression/anxiety or something...who knows.

The risperdal would be added to Celexa 10mg and Klonopin .5mg am and .25mg pm. Celexa for depression and Klon for anxiety.

Will the Risperdal help with anxiety?

I am feeling terribly low and scared with much suicidal ideation. I don't want to die, I really don't but I have to make this pain go away somehow.

My pdoc wants me to have an EEG. He says that some kind of electrical misfiring in the brain, similar to seizures, can cause the mood swings I am having. He wants to wait about trying a mood stabilizer until after EEG. Anyone heard of EEG as a diagnostic tool?

Marsha
