I have a script for both Xanax and Clonopin. I use them for different reasons. If I am in a state of continual anxiety, I use the Clonopin on a daily basis. If I am in a period of less severe anxiety, I use the Xanax. The short half-life allows me to "spot-treat" the anxiety. I use it only when I need it. It acts quickly and goes throught the body in a relatively short period of time. I can use less medication this way and still control the anxiety.
