I can only tell you that a week after starting Lexapro 5mg, I called my doctor and told him I was more depressed and more anxious. He told me to reduce the dose. I reduced it to 2.5 and the anxiety got a little better but I was still quite anxious. When I saw him, we tried raising it to 7.5. No improvement. I gave up.
