I took Strattera a few years ago. It was certainly not the worst drug I've ever taken; however, I thought Reboxetine, which is also a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, was better. Reboxetine was a better antidepressant for me, and it was faster-acting. The problem with Reboxetine, for me, was that I live in the U.S., and Reboxetine is not available here. Ordering it from overseas was just too much of a hassle.

If you do decide to try either Strattera or Reboxetine, I urge you to start at the lowest dose possible and build up the dose very slowly to minimize the anxiety and other side effects that can occur with NE-enhancing drugs. I started Strattera on 10 mg, although the manufacturer recommended starting at something like 40 and building up to 80 mg. The usual therapeutic dose for Reboxetine is 8 mg/day, I believe. That's MUCH too high for a starting dose. Try starting at 1 or 2 mg and staying there for at least a week or more before increasing it in very small, gradual increments.
