The suicidal type of depression was my sons type (along with his OCD) and the ssri's made him more suicidal! Maybe thats why they put him on the Effexor? The Avanza (remeron) was to help him sleep and counteract the effexor side effects and boost the overall effect to get him out of his suicidal depression and to be honest he is out of the suicidal depression... but now his OCD is playing up....and on the story goes....
