It doesn't mix well with anxiety but if a reasonable amount is used earlier in the day it shouldn't be too much of a problem; insomnia as you say is a downside.

I am groggy through the afternoon because I take Seroquel too late, I am attempting to scale it back at times and it does make a difference when I take it. If you say, took it at 1030 or 11, it would probably hit you with the grogginess of its intense H1 receptor binding at midnight. I dont know if you're taking it twice or once daily, I'm assuming once daily (a number of people can get by with once). But its worth a try to scale it back in the evening when it is possible.
