So finally I have quit celexa/ciprmail. After weaning down very gradually and being relatively okay with this, I stopped the celexa/ciprmail on Thursay (I think). I'm also taking reboxetine 2mg/2x day. After being okay yesterday and the day before I now feel TERRIBLE. I'm used to SSRI withdrawal but not like this! I feel very very nausous and have a headache and brain zaps blah blah. Is the reboxetine making it worse? I was looking in the archives and Link mentions something about the noradrengic receptors being more sensitive or something post SSRI.....I might not have got the jist right though.
Anyway after some weeks on reboxetine I think it might be begining to poop out. Although its great for anxiety its not so great for depression like thoughts. I don't know. I might give it up and be med free.....well although then I might do something silly. Sigh.
I might give wellbutrin a go - I know its not available for depression in the UK, but Zyban is. My GP is pretty open to suggestions, so he might prescribe if I smile nicely...
Other than that, I wonder what else might be good for atypical depression? I've tried Prozac (too much aniexty), Effexor (hmmmm okay but not good) celexa (way too much apathy) and now reboxetine. I think something that targets noradrenline might be good.
