Actually, as far as AD's go parnate was thought to be a good choice for bipolar depression. I don't know how it rates to other AD's in terms of ability to induce cycling.

The anticonvulsants can be used to augment an AD even if you do not dispay any cycling.

I think Willyee mentioned, that sometimes clonazepam has augmented the parnate. I too have noticed that clonazepam can augment an AD.
