I know that for sure as i've been prescribed lamotrigine (lamictal) afew months ago.

>Get the phone number of a pharmacy. Then call your doctor and ask him to phone in the prescription for a few pills or whatever you need.

That sounds like a good idea to me.

AMD are you originally from England?..or from the States?

The thing is, to have lamotrigine prescibed for a psychiatric reason... to be able to call up your doctor (GP) to get them to forward on the prescription to the pharmacy, you would have had to already have had it prescribed by a psychiatrist....then you get the prescription from your GP doctor.

Are you over here on holiday/vacation from the States?...If so i'm not entirely sure how you'll be able to get some Lamictal?...Hmmm Ed_uk would be your best bet for asking.

If your from england I guess you must know the whole NHS process...all I can say is that I know for sure is that if its a repeat prescription you've got no worries getting another one....

If your stuck here in England for whatever reason...to get Lamictal from any pharmacy your going to need a prescription....and that prescription will have to originally come from a psychiatrist. I know i'm 99.9% sure that GP's dont personally prescribe mood stabilisers directly.....they only give you the prescription because of the letter from the psychiatrist they have recieved giving it the 'all clear' to prescibe.... That presciption will cost you £6.50 regardless of how much Lamictal tablets you need.

Privitely of course is another option, which i'm afraid I have little knowledge of. The whole process is somewhat similar though I'd imagine, although you then have to pay privite presciption costs for the lamictal and I think its a pretty expensive medication..?...And also the fee of the doctor. You may get the presription direct from him maybe....cutting out the middleman so to speak (GP)

A final option is an online pharmacy (its fully legal to import prescription medication into the UK for personal use) OF course I know Dr Bob gives out warnings about the the American Law on this....for that reason i'm not encourging it.

Hope that makes sense..

Good luck

Kind regards

Nick
