Sleep and Music as indicators of Mood? Help Please

Posted by Smith562 on July 27, 2005, at 8:16:41

Hey Everyone,

I am try to find a good objective ways to measure my mood in order to adjust my meds.

Does anyone use sleep as any objective indicator of mood? Sleeping less than 6 hours maybe indicates mild hypomania and time to increase the mood stablizer. Sleeping more than 10 hours maybe indicated depression and time to increase the antidepressant.

How about music .... I think during depression I listen to soft rock and folk music, but during mild hypomanic I listen to more heavy metal and gangster rap. Does anyone use music as an indicator of mood?

Thanks a million ... all advice welcome!

Smith
