Serax isn't Serepax is it, ie oxazepam. If not ignore this. It is confusing (I took too much of it, of course), it takes an hour to work even when you chew it, and it's short acting. I looked up my Merck. It *is* oxazepam. And made by Wyeth. So when you chew it to make it work faster your teeth and tongue will be bright yellow. I haven't taken it for 30 years and I'm still annoyed about it.

PS Now that I think of it Ativan was too amnesic for me. But I probably overdid that one too. I ended up preferring bromazepam, Valium, Librium, and am slightly curious about Xanax
